LOVE OF PLANTS

Love of plants
since early childhood

Our childhoods were spent on our parents' farms, where we gained invaluable experience in growing, collecting and using plants (folk medicine). Our parents have instilled in us a true love and sense of responsibility for plants and our earth from an early age. Already as children, we have received the love provided by nature through herbal teas, tinctures and other natural benefits.
MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE

Inese

I chose rehabilitation for medical studies, obtained a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy, established an occupational therapy practice at the national burn center, and worked there for 5 years. I did not continue the practice of an occupational therapist, because I felt a call to devote my professional life to natural fertility management - learning about a woman's natural cycles. I greatly appreciate the knowledge gained during my medical studies, which is invaluable and has helped me in my future professional work.

Inga

My choice was in favor of pharmacy. After five years of studies, I continued my path in science and obtained a doctorate on the study of medicinal plants in folk medicine and their scientifically based application today. With great love and passion, I share my extensive knowledge with young students as a lecturer at Riga Stradins University, promoting their understanding of the value and use of medicinal plants.
NATURAL FERTILITY MANAGEMENT & CHILDS

Inese

My personal experience in natural fertility management (NFM) is 28 years - experienced 6 planned pregnancies, gave birth to 5 children, 4 sons and a daughter. I waited 2 years for my first son, for which the doctors could not find a physiological reason. The 4th pregnancy was ectopic, where I lost not only my baby, but also my fallopian tube. The two youngest babies were conceived with one fallopian tube.
Going through my personal experience, I felt a deep call to learn NFM knowledge professionally and share it. I became a certified Symptothermal and Billings ovulation method teacher, instructor, mentor. In 2007, I founded my company "Pro Natural", with the aim of supporting women in their choice to live according to their fertility, their cycles, by offering femtech technologies - cycle computers and monitors, while providing consulting services and training in natural fertility management.

Inga

My experience with natural fertility management has been filled with lessons and insights. My pregnancy went very well and when I was expecting my first baby I was very confident that the birth would be natural and easy. The experience of my mother, who successfully gave birth to four children, strengthened this belief in me. However, both the first and the second birth ended with a Cesarean section. Perhaps it was not yet time for children to be born, and perhaps my scientific career and the many responsibilities of a modern woman created unconscious stress on the body, which disturbed the natural rhythms and processes.
After these experiences, I realized that it is necessary to stop a little and think about how to live differently, listening to your body. I used hormonal birth control pills for several years, but one day I felt that I didn't want to continue because the pills have many side effects and negative effects on the body, including libido. I realized that I can regulate my cycle naturally and feel safe and calm without medication.
I believe that one should always weigh the risks and benefits to determine which problems can be solved naturally with natural resources and which situations require traditional treatment. This approach helps me live in harmony with my body, listen to its signals and promote natural fertility management.
SCIENCE

Inese

I am fascinated by the process of research, discovery and analysis. A good insight into research, its importance and use was given by the school and study years, where the experience gained is useful when formulating femme.eco products. I highly appreciate the contribution of people who conduct research, devoting their lives to it. For example, research into the use of plants and active substances is particularly useful in creating femme.eco herbal teas.

The teas created by Femme.eco reflect our desire to research and experiment, providing a quality and safe product with proven efficacy. When choosing plants, we carefully analyzed which would be the most suitable in terms of the desired effect.

At the same time, we tried to make the teas fragrant, tasty and beautiful in color. In order to achieve the best results, we conducted many experiments over several months. We tested the formulated teas on women who volunteered to rate them. After collecting the data, we made the necessary improvements to consummate the product and ensure that it reaches the user in the best formula we could create.

Inga

I enjoy processes where I can do research and discover new knowledge. I am drawn to the scientific approach and evidence-based results.

During my doctoral studies, I studied the edicinal plants used by the Latvian people and compared whether there is a scientific basis for their use today. In the laboratory of the Institute of Organic Synthesis of Latvia, I conducted experiments with extracts of bird cherry and pelargonium to study their various biological effects, such as anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties.
I have participated in several projects related to the research of plant extracts. The obtained results have been published in international journals, promoting the scientific research and application of medicinal plants in pharmacy. At university, I lead students' research projects, helping to develop their research skills and knowledge in the field of plants.
DESIRE TO CREATE

Inese

The process of creation fascinates me, gets adrenaline in my blood, then time and space disappear, there is me and the process, followed by expectations - what will be the result - it is one magical moment!

When training and counseling women in fertility management, I often received the question - but what next: "How can I help myself to maintain a healthy menstrual cycle?" How to help yourself with natural remedies?".

My family bought our first country property in a beautiful location by the deepest lake in Latvia, Dridzis. Walking through the natural meadows of Latgale, I felt the richness of nature, which we often do not appreciate, see, or realize. The feeling came - I can, I can create natural products that will support women's health.

I became a passionate plant distiller, user of essential oils, natural perfumer, learned the art of formulating natural cosmetics so that the products I created were professional and safe for the user.

I created my organic farm so that the raw materials used in the products - medicinal plants - are certified, friendly to women's health and the environment.
This is also where the concept of herbal teas to support women's health was created. I had gained a lot of valuable knowledge about herbs for women's health from Dr. Aviva Romm, prof. Eninja books, but I felt that it was not enough to create truly valuable teas. I am looking for a real professional in the knowledge of plants, so that the teas created are not only tasty, but also professionally formulated, functional and based on science.

Doctor of Pharmacy Inga Sīle joined the team. I am really glad that our paths have crossed and we continue to go and create together.

Inga

Creating for me means continuous development and transfer of knowledge to others. Constant development and moving forward is my life philosophy. Only with time do we understand why we have gone through certain events to get to where we are now. I am grateful for all the experiences that have shaped me, because without them I wouldn't have gotten here and I wouldn't have met Inese.

My passion is to explore folk medical knowledge while using a modern scientific approach. Creating new knowledge, memories and adventures, creating to grow and develop - this is about me. After completing my doctorate, I wrote my first book, which was a dream come true and at the same time it was one of many stops. After that, I started thinking about the next book, and my thoughts drifted in the direction of tea blends. It coincided with my journey of discovering myself as a woman and listening to my body. Then came Inese's invitation to create tea blends for women's health and well-being together. I was completely convinced that this project was for me and I want to create valuable and sustainable products, share knowledge and inspire other women to live in harmony with their cycle and the world around them.
